ENNY MONACO
The new boutique Enny Monaco uniquely expresses the creative universe of Amalia Korasidou and her eclectic view of fashion. "For me, multibrands have imagination, passion and creativity," says Amalia Korasidou, co-founder of the Enny Monaco boutique, which since the late '80s has been shaping the style of Greek women and her international clients with high-end fashion brands and designers that reflect her eclectic aesthetic. At the Enny Monaco boutique, minimal pieces coexist with explosive patterns and colors, just as is the case with the style of a woman who does not move one-dimensionally but lets her imagination run wild. This philosophy also reflects the identity of Amalia Korasidou, who never stops experimenting with fashion and exploring new cultures through her travels to countries such as Zanzibar, Colombia and Uzbekistan, where she discovers special pieces and introduces them to the Greek public. Pieces that make a perfect match with her personality, such as the embroidered kaftan dress by Marta Ferri with which we met her at the new Enny Monaco space, curated by architect Marilyn Katsari, on 4 Kriezotou Street, a street that places Athens on the map of international luxury shopping destinations.

The premium boutique Enny Monaco hosts exclusive collaborations with top brands, such as The Row, Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik and Aquazzura among others, while Amalia Korasidou has developed a personal relationship with many of the designers – she even maintained a special contact with Azzedine Alaïa himself – as she prefers to avoid impersonal houses – “I don’t like monobrands and status items”, she confesses. Together with her sister, Vicky Korasidou, and the next generation, Alexia Katsari and Nikos Gratsos, they have also developed deep trust with their customers, who return again and again, looking for something different each time. She herself carefully selects the clothes and accessories that will be hosted in the boutique, closely following the shows.

From each collection, she focuses on what inspires her and then tries to imagine a woman wearing them in different roles and occasions, creating a statement wardrobe. Here, the glam arrivals of Oscar de la Renta and Elie Saab have a similar dynamic to the fashionable brands Alaïa and The Row, the minimal Dusan and Pleats Please by Issey Miyake, the sophisticated Victoria Beckham, but also more special names, such as the printed and embroidered dresses with vintage fabrics by Rianna + Nina and the edgy Thom Browne. With a focus on quality, timelessness and uniqueness, Amalia Korasidou serves fashion and authentic style with consistency and instinct.

When asked how she envisions the future, she is very clear: she wants to continue offering well-chosen creations, adapting to the new, unknown data that is presented.
