Johanna Ortiz gathers a spray of hand-drawn flowers low on one side of the hem, poppies and hibiscus in red and blush rising on slender olive stems. The skirt is cut from silk in a soft A-line and finished at the waist with a narrow velvet band. Above the flowers the black is left plain, so the print carries the piece.
