Founded in Paris in 1966, Rabanne is the house that first treated metal as cloth. Paco Rabanne's earliest collections linked discs and mesh into dresses that contoured the body, and assembled unconventional materials into silhouettes no one had cut before. That radical craft still defines the Maison: the hand-linked 1969 bag, the oversized links of the XL Link jewellery, the open stitch of its handmade crochet. In July 2026 Rabanne named Olivier Rousteing creative director. He arrives after fourteen years at Balmain, and the house describes his vision as bold and tied to the energy of the present. His first pre-collection lands in November 2026; his debut runway show, for Fall/Winter 2027, is in Paris in March 2027.
