Christian Louboutin Fall-Winter 2019/20 collection

Christian Louboutin Fall-Winter 2019/20 collection

Whether terrestrial or phantasmagorical, no destination seems beyond the reach of Christian Louboutin’s imagination. Embark on inspirational journeys, from sunny Portugal to the snow-kissed beauty of the Himalayan steppes, with a collection of whimsical pieces for Fall-Winter 2019/20 that showcase the Maison’s trademark savoir-faire and creativity.

Espadrilles are recalling the warmth and optimism of Portugal, one of Christian’s long-time source of creative stimulus. The designer’s creative process is visible throughout all product categories with a new moodboard print inspired by Christian’s memories.

To stay true to the Maison’s joyful spirit, the next stop aims to revive your favourite and playful childhood theme park memories. Bold, colour-blocking pieces express a tangible zest for life, whilst rainbow brights as seen on men’s and women’s shoes, bags and accessories inject the season with a much-needed dose of levity and verve.

The third chapter brings you to 70’s Milan, where ornate styles whisper of the art world’s quiet opulence. Inspired by iconoclastic interior design, innovations such as the Cube heel and hand embellished bijou Vasa heel are a nonchalant take on evening elegance. Over on menswear, velvet uppers and strass details bring a touch of decadent farniente, whilst ostrich feather trimmings and Louboutin’s signature red adorn classic leather goods silhouettes.

The party mood is in full swing for the fourth phase of the collection. Vintage inspired pieces and iconic designs evoke Christian’s memories of Paris’ night cabaret scene in the 80’s. A vibrant colour palette and brilliant metallics set the tone with pieces designed to sparkle into the night, whilst glittering strass and patent animal prints seem to be raring for an adventure.

Wild nights call for a return to tranquillity in the snow-capped Himalayas. An ode to Christian’s love of nature, wild flora motifs and frosty silvers adorn both men’s and women’s styles. Continuing the wintry theme, point de croix strass and crystal-studded embellishments bring an eveningwear sensibility to sleek

pumps.

A direct take on skiing style codes, men’s and women’s ankle boots are toughened up with new lug track soles and hiking laces. Masculine loafers, derbies and motorcycle booties are tempered with signature studs, icy lamés and iridescent patent leathers, whilst men’s accessories and sneakers sport fur trimmings or snow camouflage motifs for a distinctively alpine feel.

The Fall-Winter 2019/20 Collection will be available worldwide on www.christianlouboutin.com and in the Christian Louboutin boutiques starting from May 2019.
